Special Sessions

Twenty six Special Sessions were accepted which represent the core of the scientific program of the CBGA2014. They cover several research fields, but also focus on specific problems of certain areas. The geographic distribution of the Special Session Conveners who come from most of European countries, is a positive sign that the CBGA Congresses have recently drown attention of the geological community beyond the geographic “borders” of the CBGA. Each special session is expected to consist of at least 6 contributions which will undergo the same review process as regular contributions of the general sessions. If after the reviewing process less than the necessary number of contributions solicited for a special session is selected, the Special Session will be cancelled, and the solicited abstracts that passed review process will be presented within regular sessions of the conference.
